- Trained in basic surgery from 1986 till 1993 in the University Clinic of Frankfurt am Main and then specialised in Traumatologic and Hand Surgery from 1993 till 1996
- Senior instructor on traumatologic Workshops of the AO Foundation ( ASIF Association for the Study of Internal Fixation )
- Member of the German Society for Surgery of the Hand
